Gun in unintentional shooting was stolen from deputy's unlocked car

Two Florida teens were hanging out, playing video games and playing with a .38-caliber Smith & Wesson. The gun unintentionally went off, shooting 19-year-old Thomas K. in the head. Thomas survived the shooting but was hospitalized and an update of his condition is not available.
18-year-old Madsen H. was arrested and charged as a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He faces additional charges of grand theft now that authorities have determined that the gun was stolen from the personal car of an off duty Pasco County deputy. The car was parked in front of the deputy's home and was not locked. A laptop computer was also stolen from the car.
Ohh shoot.
