Gunfight at the OK Corral Re-enactment Unintentionally Uses Live Rounds, Wounds Actor

Tom Carter and Ken Curtis have been members of the Tombstone Vigilantes group for more than ten years.  The group re-enacts the historic gunfight at the OK Corral for tourists in Tombstone, Arizona.

But Sunday, the re-enactment went terribly wrong when the gun Tom Carter fired unintentionally contained live ammunition.  One of the bullets Carter fired struck Ken Curtis in the upper-groin area. Curtis was flown to the hospital in Tucson for treatment.

At least two other rounds struck businesses approximately 680 feet from the skit.  One of the bullets caused shrapnel to hit a female bystander.  She was not seriously injured and refused treatment.

Law officials have ordered the Tombstone Vigilante group to stop future re-enactments while the incident is being investigated.

Nice post. America had a gun culture from past decades. People who are really concerned about their safety may simply join the Firearms safety training classes and get the license to carry guns.

The license holders must be trained on the safe usage and storage of bullets. Try avoid using loaded guns where public are around.
