Louis was holding the gun while riding on a hoverboard. When he lost his balance he unintentionally discharged the gun, shooting his 13-year-old cousin Lavardo Fisher in the back of the head. Lavardo was playing Xbox at the time.
Lavardo was taken to the local hospital where he died of his injuries.
The owner of the gun, 35-year-old Walter Morame, was arrested on charges of possession of a weapon by a felon.
Lavardo was an eighth grader at Ocoee Middle School and played football for the Ocoee Bulldogs. Last year he was named a Pop Warner All-American scholar.
